About Us
About Us
Animal Adoption & Care is the animal welfare initiative of Popsy Charitable Trust, an independent nonprofit and private funder dedicated to improving the lives of animals across India. We work directly on the ground to provide care and support to animals in need, while strengthening the organisations and communities working tirelessly to protect them. Through hands-on action, strategic funding and collaboration, we aim to create lasting, meaningful change for animals across the country.
Our work in Mumbai began around 2010, when a small group of animal lovers started rescuing and caring for animals on the streets. That hands-on experience showed us a wider need: many capable smaller organisations had the commitment but lacked the resources, processes or networks to grow. Today we work in two ways, intervening directly and building the capacity of partners.

Community pets are the animals who share our streets, neighbourhoods and institutions. They live among us, and it is our shared responsibility to keep them safe and fed.

What We Do
What We Do
We rescue animals in distress and arrange veterinary care, recovery, fostering and follow-up. We also run humane spay and neuter programmes, feeding, vaccination drives, adoption and release, and cruelty response with legal support. When disaster strikes, we act.
